Transport Assessment
Transport Assessments are usually required for larger developments which generate a considerable number of vehicle movements. These reports will often be accompanied by a Travel Plan and may include off-site junction assessments to determine development impacts upon the highway.
Transport Statement
Transport Statements are for medium to small size developments which generate a moderate number of vehicle movements. The reports usually review sustainable transport opportunities which surround sites, provide details on proposed points of access as well as information on vehicle movements.
Travel Plan
A Travel Plan is a package of measures for employers or developers to encourage staff and residents to use alternatives to single occupancy car use. We will prepare such reports in accordance with Local Authority guidance to support any planning application or to discharge planning conditions.
Highway Impact Statement
or Highway Notes
Highway Notes can be prepared for smaller developments (up to 10 dwellings or smaller commercial/industrial developments) or can be provided to address specific areas of a development, such as a site access. These notes will often be accompanied by access or swept path analysis drawings.

Feasibility Reports
For any type of development proposal, providing access onto the existing highway network is a fundamental consideration. We will undertake a site access appraisal early in the process, to ensure access can be provided in accordance with Local Authority guidance, advising on a suitable access location.

Construction Traffic Management Plans are often required by Local Authorities as part of Planning Conditions. We can assist in preparing these reports to ensure construction traffic will not impact upon sensitive locations or disrupt the highway which surround sites.

Swept Path Analysis is often required as part of planning applications to ensure vehicles can manoeuvre suitably within development sites. Roberts Highway Consultants can assist by undertaking swept path drawings, using the recommended Autodesk Vehicle Tracking software.

Surveys
Increasing parking demand in urban areas often results in Local Authorities requiring parking surveys to determine parking availability. Adopting the Lambeth Methodology principles, Roberts Highway Consultants can undertake such surveys to demonstrate parking availability.
